International Institutes 

Reaching out to educators worldwide. 
HighScope's international institutes and teacher education centers bring the HighScope message of active participatory learning to new audiences throughout the world. The purposes of the institutes are to

• Disseminate the HighScope Curriculum worldwide through training programs and documentation and the performance of services including observation, certification, technical assistance, promotion, research, and outreach.
• Prepare educational practitioners to support children, youth, and families in the diverse cultural and institutional settings that exist throughout the world.
• Share and apply the lessons learned in each country to comparable educational settings in other countries, while respecting the unique circumstances that differentiate individuals and groups of people.

The goals of the institutes and teacher education centers are to

• Advance learning environments through HighScope practices that are conducive to the growth and strengthening of open, democratic societies.
• Maximize the potential of all children and youth regardless of their national, economic, ethnic, racial, religious, or other origins.
• Promote global understanding and cooperation through the collaboration and networking of members of the HighScope International Registry.
• Work cooperatively to enhance use of the available staff and other resources.
