Advanced Study
Once you've had a chance to learn about the basics of the HighScope Curriculum covered in Steps 1-3, you will be ready to move into more advanced study. In this step you will explore the various content areas in more detail. You will learn more about the four key principles of early literacy including comprehension, phonological awareness, alphabetic principle and concepts about print. And you will study social-emotional development, ways to scaffold learning during small-group time, and more about movement and music.
