The COR is available in two versions. The Infant-Toddler COR is designed for programs serving children between the ages of six weeks and three years, while the Preschool COR is used to assess children from the ages of two-and-a-half to six years. Because children develop at different rates, the two measures overlap in the age range covered.
Both versions of the COR can be used by any program serving children in these developmental ranges — not just programs following the HighScope Curriculum. They can also be used for children with special needs, whose chronological and developmental ages may differ widely on one or more dimensions.
